Cuttin' and Stampin' - Challenge #49: Pockets

Most of you know that I've began working with an online store called "Cuttin' and Stampin'".  I am absolutely LOVING being back in the industry!!  With each scrappy job I've had, I've made friends and learned so much.  This time is definitely no exception, and now YOU can learn and play along, too because they have a challenge blog!!  I am filling in for one of the girls over the holiday so I'm pretty excited to be here with you!

#49
Challenge:Anything Goes with a Pocket

December 10th - 16th, 2013

We are thinking about pockets.  Everywhere you look in scrapbooking and card making, you see pockets.  All of the design team projects are using Sn@p December Documented paper this week to create something with pockets.

We were supposed to use Simple Stories "December Documented" line so I cut down the 6x6 pad and made my own Pocket Cards. :)

I also used the following supplies that can all be found here in our store:
December Documented Paper
Style A Page Protectors (Project Life)
Wink of Stella Pen (clear) on the candy cane (gives a subtle shimmer...hard to see in the pic!)
Black Rainboots Thickers (Santa)

I actually used a die to cut this little gem out.  It's the Lawn Fawn 3x4 Journaling Die.  Made cutting the cards MUCH easier and quicker!! :)

Please make sure your creation post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on December 20, 2013.

For my December project, I've just put together a cute little treat box for Bug's dance teacher. :)  It's got some twine and treats inside of it.

I am not going to lie - this box was a PAIN to put together!  I used this shape from the Silhouette store.  The top was quite tricky to get it to stay closed!  If you try this and have it work successfully, please let me know what your secret is!!

Today, I've created a cute little {simple} spread of the Santa Pictures Bug had done last year.

For this one, aside from the top left card, I made my own cards.  Really SOOO easy with the Cameo!

Welding letters is fast becoming a favorite thing to do. :)

All you need to do is link your entries up here!  It's really that easy. :)

labor of love. literally. :)

Took 3-ish hours this morning and organized all of Bug's pictures from her first year, tore apart the few pages I had done in her album and put it all in this box, labeled by month.

It's all ready to PL into her new album.

I am ready to party!! :)  Can't wait to get this one in the books.

(Again, literally.)

Not going to lie - I struggled with this challenge.  I thought I could do a cute spread with farm animals from Bug down on my parents farm, or with their cats, or or or.  I think I was overwhelmed with all of the choices that are available!  It took me finding this:

to finally decide what I was going to do.  Halloween = creepy crawly spiders!  PERFECT!

I made some 3x4 journaling cards - SUPER simple with washi tape, paper, and spider (found here):

The "Halloween" overlay can also be found here.

Here's the finished spread.  I love how simple yet festive it turned out.

branching out - august 26th - september 1.

I wasn't sure about the Kraft core kit...I have issues (haha...one of many) with off white.  I either like REAL kraft, or REAL white.  I'm actually loving the off white of this kit!

Branching out, people! :)

july 22 - 28.

I used all "Honey" core kit for this spread. :)  I absolutely LOVE the bright colors in it.

ok, I lied.... last post wasn't the biggest one. :)

Used the new Project Life Themed "Girl" kit on this spread.

maybe the biggest week yet??

Pretty busy week!  2 full 12x12's, and 4 inserts. :)

Using mostly the new "Sunshine" core kit, Blackboard from WeR, and 5th and Frolic.

1st insert:

2nd insert:

Front of a little 4x4 insert:
I LOVE the yellow striped card.  I trimmed it down from a 4x6 and used a mask from UmWowStudio for the hearts.

Back of the 4x4 size:
(don't tell my husband about the 6 miles to empty....)

Last page of the week. :)

For my project this month, I decided to create a PL LO for my daughter's spring dance recital.  Her cute little class danced to "You Are My Sunshine", so I used that phrase and welded the letters together. :)

This was my first time "welding" but it definitely won't be my last!!  I can use this for EVERYTHING!!!

Don't forget to link your welding project up to the link above for your chance to win some fabulous prizes!!
