plugging away at more PL spreads.

Here's my latest PL (Project Life) spread!

I am still trying to find my "style". I tried to use no pre-made cards, but just cut paper and use my Silhouette to make the cards and I really like how it turned out!!

Most of you know that I've started doing Project Life style scrapbooking.

I am breaking a cardinal rule of scrapbooking - I'm redoing my daughter's baby book.  I have SO many pictures that I want to use, and after only 3 (3!!!  Don't crucify me TOO harshly!! ;)) LO's, I'm just not happy with the direction that it's going.  She is going to be my only child and I want this to be something I love and will be proud to give to her one day.

For my July project, I decided to incorporate my Silhouette Cameo into the mix. :)
I absolutely LOVE the look of stitching on projects.  It just adds SO much more to it!

However.
I am lazy when it comes to sewing.  I don't like to drag my sewing machine out every time I want to stitch on something.

But guess what??
PROBLEM SOLVED!!

You can do faux stitching on your Cameo using the Print & Cut feature!!
(you can also do this with the sketch pens if you have them!)

Here's what I came up with:

Here's a closer up shot of the 3 cards that have the faux stitching on them:

For this part of the LO, I made a 3 inch slit in the page protector so that I would be able to get the hidden journaling card in and out of the pocket. :)

If you want to play along for a chance at these fun prizes listed about, link up here! and follow ALL of the instructions!!!

project life.

If you're an avid scrapbooker, then you'll know what I'm referring to when I mention "Project Life" or PL.  I've recently began to dabble in this style of memory keeping.

I felt like I was getting too behind.
Too many pictures to catalog (and let's be honest - I'm NOT going to take less! :)) so I needed something that was going to let me document everything that I feel needs to be included in our family scrapbook.  I obsessed over this Memorial Day weekend debating if I wanted to take on something else and totally change how I've been doing thing.

The answer is yes, and I'm loving every minute of it! :)

Here's my first REAL attempt at cataloging a week:

I've done several "spreads" since and I see my style changing (and getting better, haha!) already, and how I'm going to go about doing my weeks going forward.  I plan on "traditional" scrapbooking the BIG things - professional pictures, some holidays, etc. and just incorporate them into this different style.

I need to catch up on blogging.  Several posts coming your way! :P

xoxo, Amber
