print & cut with my Cameo.

I got this lovely little machine last year for Mother's Day.

Until now, I haven't really done TOO much with it.  I've got some shapes here and there, but it's really capable of SOOO much more!

I'm SO excited that I'm going to {HAVE} to learn how to use all of it's features because I'm SO lucky to be on the Design Team for "Silhouette Challenges"!

Silhouette Challenges

The term officially starts in June so I've got a little bit of time to play and figure some things out. :)

Here's a little card I made last night for a dear friend's father who is in the hospital and FINALLY being released today after 2 weeks in the joint.  I thought a little card would cheer him up.

The "thinking of you" portion was made with the "print/cut" feature.  I forsee a lot of this being used and saving oodles on stickers!!

I'm linking up with Silhouette Challenges May "Anything Goes" challenge.

xoxo Amber

  3. Congratulations Amber! I'd love to see posts about the things you learn. I just bought the Designer edition of the Silhouette software and I am stymied about where to start with it!

  8. My Cameo just arrived Wednesday! I am afraid to start it up....Any good suggestions out there on what to do first besides turn it on??? I love making cards with my cricut but want to really start using the Cameo for fonts etc and the cool graphics! Blogger suggestions on using?

    1. Hi Claudia! My first suggestion is don't be afraid! :) One thing I do every week is download the free "Shape of the Week" from the Silhouette Online Store - they always have cute ones! Also, I NEVER pay for fonts! There are so many free ones online that there's no need to use your money there. :) I'm fairly new to this as well so maybe we can learn together? :) Follow me and let's figure this awesome machine out! - Amber :)
