May 26 - June 1.

Main LO. :)

I again cut down a 6x6 pad of "Walk In The Park" by Echo Park.  I'm really enjoying making my own cards from paper I already own!!

Close ups:

I used Butterfly Reflections exclusive stamp to make this card and I. LOVE. IT!!

The silver heart card is my favorite. :)

Eventually I'll be caught up!  Only 2 months behind - I've TOTALLY got this!

I am currently on a Technique Tuesday stamp kick.  LOVE them!!  See, pages can be simple yet so fun using paper you already have and minimal embellishing using stamps. :)  I'm SO pleased! :)

Gelato - It's not just for eating.

I've been in a crafty funk lately.  So much going on, and no desire to do anything above what I HAVE to do.
I ended up meeting this gal on one of the Project Life groups that I'm in and she did a Gelato/Stencil/Gel Medium tutorial that I {ADORED}.  You can find it here.  I pinned it for future use.

She has ALL SORTS of fun techniques in her blog, too.  This will be my new go-to spot when I need to get that mojo flowing again!!

Wednesday, I had some {mommy time} and went to my lair to play.

Here was my first attempt:

I loved the result, so I posted the in the PL group for her to see, and to my excitement, she said she wanted to feature me on her blog!! :)  Squeeeeeee!!!

I whipped up a few more cards:

This is SUCH an EASY (and WAY fun) technique to add some texture so some plain cards.  You can use them plain, or embellish to your taste.

Thanks, Heather, SO MUCH for featuring me today!!

page planning process.

I wanted to document (for my own purpose - I want to see how my "process" changes over time!) how I get my pages planned and finished.

Step 1:

The first thing I do is decide which page protectors I will need to fit all of the pictures I've taken.  I am VERY picture heavy.  There's so many things that N does right now that I want to document!  I don't print my pictures to fit specific protectors.  I make what I print work in what I have. :)

After I've figured out which protectors I need to use....

Step 2:

I figure out what cards I will need - by size and qty.  It's a much quicker process to use pre-made cards, however, I wanted to make my own this time. :)

Step 3:

Cut!!  I used Everyday Eclectic by Echo Park for this specific spread.
I went space by space and figured out which color combos I wanted to use.

Step 4:

Once I've gotten all of the cards cut that I will need comes the fun part - EMBELLISHING!! :)  I used Thickers, UmWow! Chipboard butterfly, Heidi Swapp sequined hearts - those are the main embellishments on here.

You can make this as simple or as fancy as you'd like!  Some of my spreads are super simple - others have more details.

Here's the final product:

I used a bunch of white cardstock cuts that I had already cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The "life is good" embellishment is self-adhesive cork that's stamped on that I got the idea from a sweet lady in one of the Facebook groups that I belong to.  You can use whatever tickles your fancy!!

Absolutely LOVE how this spread turned out!  Journaling will be done later. :)

CCDT New Year, New Team Blog Hop!

Welcome to the CCDT (CropChocolate.com Design Team) New Year, New Team blog hop!

No, I'm not on the team.
I'm the lucky one that gets to lead these ladies and give them assignments for their monthly projects and basically learn from everything that they're creating.  They truly are amazing and I love working with them!

One thing I asked of them to do was to give 5 fun facts about themselves.
I can't ask that they do it and then NOT do it, so here are my fun facts.

1.  I cracked my youngest brothers head open.  Twice.  On the same rock.
2.  I can't roll my "r's".
3. I have the attention span of a turnip.
4.  I'm allergic to almonds and I found that out the hard way about 6 years ago.
5.  I'm absolutely OBSESSED with smutty TV shows like The Bachelor/ette, Vampire Diaries, and Dance Moms.

:)

In honor of celebrating our new team, my crafty mojo finally decided to come back from a LONG vacation, drinking mojito's on the beach.
(How kind of it!)

Cover

I was able to do a mini album for my dad of Neysa and her "Papa". :)  She ADORES her Papa, so I thought it'd be fitting since I had this "boyish" paper to use.

Cover/last page and how the album is essentially put together.

I mixed chipboard, acrylic, and canvas pages from a book I bought from Prima.  Using the My Mind's Eye "Dilly Dally" line, I cut out a bunch of stuff with my Silhouette Cameo to use in it.

Here are a few pages from it:

I LOVE these 4x6ish little shaped dividers!  I am pretty sure I bought almost all of them in the Silhouette Online store!  I foresee using LOTS of these in the future.

I can't wait to give it to him! :)

Now, if you're going to continue hopping, you'll want to go to Jenni's blog and continue hopping!
Please show some love to these amazing ladies.  They definitely deserve it!

I'm going to give a random commenter $5 in crop credit - SO, leave a comment and if you're not already, follow me!  I'll draw the winner on Monday, 1/14!

sneak peek for Paula!

A very dear friend Paula (check her out here!  She's amazing!) saw a few pics of Bug that I had posted and offered to scrapbook for them.  I thought it was VERY sweet and said sure!!

She is ending up being featured on Unity Stamps later in November and she chose to create a project using my pictures!!  So excited for her. :)

Here's a little snippet of the goodness to come:

She will be hosting a give-a-way on HER blog so stay tuned for details on how to enter to win!!
