3D Thursday - Travel Journal Mini Book

Happy Thursday, friends!!

On the Timeless Twine Creative Crew, we have set challenges for each day of the month.  On each of my days, I try my very best to meet each challenge using Pocket Scrapbooking.  Well, today is 3D Thursday.

If you pocket scrapbook, you can understand why I would panic a little bit about that! :)
Truth be told, I almost caved and created a cute little critter on my Silhouette for Easter.  BUT...then I put my big girl panties on and decided that I was going to make this work!  I enjoy a challenge.

So, I went to work.

I chose 3 4x6 themed cards from the Sn@p "Travel" collection that I had laying around just waiting for me to use and folded them in half making 6 mini book pages.  Instead of using staples to put the pages together, I took some of the super cute Timeless Twine to TIE them together!  I chose Chocolate Chip and Olive Green twine - it's darling with these cards!

Here's the full spread:

And a few pages of the mini book:

Lots of spots for journaling things that I don't necessarily want to share with the public.

Like perhaps locking my daughter in the rental car after I had put her in her car seat.  Yeah.....mother of the year moment!!  We were still at the rental car place and got her out quick.  Shout out to Budget rental cars!!

I also found this great little travel agenda card that I used the Bella Creationz PlanNerd stamp set to cute it up a bit.  I use these stamps on everything.  Seriously.  They're SO versatile!!!!

Until next time, friends!

Because She's Happy - Happy Hump Day Wednesday

Whoa - 2 posts in 2 days?!  I am pretty sure that's a new record for me. :)

It's my turn again up on the Timeless Twine blog with a {HAPPY} Hump Day project.

What makes me {HAPPY}? My little girl so what better way to celebrate that than to share a spread with you that I created for her 4 year old birthday pictures.

I wanted to keep this LO very simple because I wanted the pictures to do most of the talking.

I LOVE this "Because She's Happy" card because of how the "happy" border around 2 of the edges turned out.  These PlanNerd stamps are PERFECT for adding borders!!

I used the "Happy Days" stamps to make the "happy" border around the "Because She's Happy" card, and the PlanNerd stamps for the hearts on the "Love" card.  I also used "Bubblegum Pink" twine for an extra complimentary pop of color.

What makes you {HAPPY}?  I'd love to know!!

Happy St Patrick's Day Cards

Hi friends!!

Since St. Patrick's Day is coming up next week, and we've got a dinner that we're attending on Sunday (thus the "wrong" date on the card...), I thought I'd get a jump start and make a few cards for when I get my pics from the party printed. :)

Ignore the ugly purple post it.  Using it as a place holder so I remember to put a picture right there on the card!

I LOVE the Green Beer card.  It makes me giggle and shows how versatile these stamps sets from Bella Creationz really are!  This specific stamp is the PlanNerd Stamp and you can find it here!

I also used Timeless Twine in Lemonade Yellow for a little extra color, and these FUN pocket scrapbooking Days of the Week journaling cards.

Enjoy!! :)

Technique Tuesday - Creating Your Own Cards w/Texture

Hi friends, happy Tuesday!!

Here's a fun little tutorial that I came up with for our "Technique Tuesday" over on the Timeless Twine blog for creating your own pocket scrapbooking cards with some fun texture. :)

1.  Take some cards (color and size of your choice!)
2. and spray with any kind of color spray.  I used Heidi Swapp's Color Shine.
(I misted in the kitchen...shhhh, don't tell my husband!!)
3.  Put into embossing folder and run through whatever embossing machine you've got.

4 and 5 are the completed embossed cards.
6 was actually a happy mistake that I didn't know I was making.  One of the cards was placed differently than the other creating a de-bossed look.  Kind of fun!

After your cards are dry (I left mine out overnight!), then comes the fun part of decorating them.

I used Timeless Twine in Lemonade YellowAqua BluePurple Passion, and Bubblegum Pink to add even more dimension than the embossing made.  I also added a few sequins in (Raspberry Pink) for some added sass. :)

Move It Monday - Pocket Page Style

Happy Monday, friends!!

I'm up today on the Timeless Twine/Bella Creationz blog with a fun project incorporating {movement} into my pocket pages.

I found this tutorial on the Heidi Swapp blog done by the {fabulous} Kim Jeffress and died over the cuteness.  I had to try it.

I modified the instructions quite a bit to make this work for my pocket albums.  I created a 4x6 card that would be {perfect} for a title card for your Valentines Day spreads.

Before:

After:

Used in a pocket page:

The tag pulls right out of a 4x6 pocket to reveal some perfect for Valentines Day hearts!

How are {YOU} going to use movement in your next project??

I used Timeless Twine in Strawberry Cupcake, Bella Creationz Happy Days stamps, and Bella Creationz Sequins in Raspberry Pink Mix, as well as "Love Story" 6x6 paper pad from Fancy Pants.

Pocket Scrapbook - Snow Spread w/Stitched Pocket

Doesn't the beginning of a new year always feel fresh?
Like that new car smell or laundry right out of the dryer.
In my case, the new car smell is opening a new roll of twine or a new package of PL cards.

I'm simple...what can I say? :)

I've been thinking about how I was going to continue on with my Pocket Scrapbooking recently.  For 2013 and 2014 I've done weekly, and I've been pretty good at keeping up with it.  However, I'm noticing now that Neysa is in pre-school and dance classes, I don't have too much interesting stuff to fill a weekly spread with!!  I've also got a school album (sort of - everything's pulled together and ready to throw in the book!!) started for her, too.

With all that being said, I've decided to take a monthly approach for 2015.

Since January started off with snow here in Utah, I thought it was only fitting to start my 2015 album with a snow spread.

(This page will also serve as the "first" page of my album.)

Remember this??  Well, I wanted to do something like that, only right into my spread instead of doing a separate insert for it.

I filled the pocket with hearts (you'll see that I use hearts on almost everything!!) and sequins (Sparkly Clear for the snowflakes, Raspberry-Pink mix, and graphite gray), and stitched it together with Aqua Blue twine.  I think it turned out quite adorable. :)

In addition to hearts, I'm also a pink addict.  I {love} pink.
I'm sure having a little girl helps feed this addiction!

I loved this turquoise card from Elle's Studio, but it needed a little pop to it.  Add Raspberry-Pink twine, wrapped several times around the card, and ta-da!  Texture and pop added.

Well, that's the end of my starting point of 2015.
Until next time, friends!!

Creative Crew - Bella Creationz/Timeless Twine - Anything Goes #1

Hello friends!

Today is my first post with Bella Creationz/Timeless Twine and I think you're going to {LOVE} what I've got to share with you.

Even though it's January, I know that some (most? ;)) of you are still finishing up your 2014 edition of December Daily.

No judgement here!!  I barely just finished 2013 mid December THIS YEAR!!  Better late than never, right?? :)

Today, I'm going to share days 1 - 8 from my DD out of my family album.

I chose to do mine differently this year.  Instead of creating a full mini album as I did last year, I am inserting it right into my pocket album.  December Daily is basically a daily scrapbook of your December events.  Really fun to do with all of the holiday events that happen!

I chose Doodlebug's "Santa Express" as the base for this project.  I'm in LOVE with the bright colors and Timeless Twine accents and matches perfectly with it!!!

Throughout the course of this year, I'm going to show you how easy and {CUTE} it is to use Twine in your pocket spreads.  It adds so much to your LO's.

Here's my full spread:
You can click on each image to open it up bigger to see all of the detail!
