golden.

I am, without a doubt, in LOVE with Lady Antebellum's new single "Golden".

As I was on the way home from my parent's house over Memorial Day weekend, this song gave me the {perfect} idea for a LO that goes along with the sketch hosted by UmWowStudio over on Cropchocolate.com.

My husband is my everything.  This song is EXACTLY how I feel about him, and what better way to show that than with a picture of him, and the greatest gift he gave to me. :)

I did the journaling around the picture and one of the butterflies:

Here's the title:

pinterest fail - mini pizzas.

I love doing my meal plans from Pinterest, especially since I can plan things that Little N can help with.

Last night I tried these mini pizzas:

Put the crust (Pilsbury Pizza Crust) in the pan, bake 1/2 way through, add toppings and finish baking.

Really - I know I'm NOT the best cook in the world but who could screw this up?

They turned out really heavy and just not good at all.  I ate one, and N had a few bites.

I am going to try again with maybe a different crust....or maybe my pizza will come out of the box from now on. :)

very proud mommy <----------- :)

I am a VERY proud mommy today.  Little N made her first LO's - with very little help from me.

happy Memorial Day.

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

a birthday card.

Here's a quick little card I made:

I struggle with "masculine" stuff...I prefer bright colors and flowers. :)

cutting Washi Tape with the Cameo.

These pictures are awesome... Fotofly always does a GREAT job and I have never had a bad experience there.

However...

I have fought with these pictures for WEEKS - trying to find the "right" papers to match with them.  I put them up on my desk where I'd glare at them every time I'd walk into my lair.

2 friends suggest bring orange and pink but I never found the perfect papers.......

Until last night.

MME's "The Sweetest Thing" flower paper border on the right side got this ball rolling.

I wanted to use a brighter pop of pink than what's in the flowers and I had some perfect Washi Tape for it.

Then I got thinking - why not cut some brackets OUT of the bright Washi Tape so it all matches perfectly?  Off I went on another Cameo adventure. :)

It's super quick and easy.  I measured out the size of brackets I wanted, covered the measured white cardstock in the said Washi, and cut!  When cutting, make sure you adjust your paper thickness because it will NOT cut through on the first time.

I may or may not have figured that out by trial and error. :)

Here's a close up of the brackets:

print & cut with my Cameo.

I got this lovely little machine last year for Mother's Day.

Until now, I haven't really done TOO much with it.  I've got some shapes here and there, but it's really capable of SOOO much more!

I'm SO excited that I'm going to {HAVE} to learn how to use all of it's features because I'm SO lucky to be on the Design Team for "Silhouette Challenges"!

Silhouette Challenges

The term officially starts in June so I've got a little bit of time to play and figure some things out. :)

Here's a little card I made last night for a dear friend's father who is in the hospital and FINALLY being released today after 2 weeks in the joint.  I thought a little card would cheer him up.

The "thinking of you" portion was made with the "print/cut" feature.  I forsee a lot of this being used and saving oodles on stickers!!
